VX-1000 VHF/UHF Mobile Transceiver

The VX-1000 Series are modular, full featured FM transceivers providing flexible mobile and base station business communications in the mid-VHF, high VHF or UHF Land Mobile Bands.

42 Different Versions
The entire Series consists of forty-two possible combinations of four front panels, three control units and six 25-watt RF units. This versatility results in at least one version to match practically any two way radio requirement, from small business to the largest public service fleets with every customer getting the full price advantage of large-volume production excellent value.

Operator-Oriented Control
The choice of four contemporary-styled front panels gives every customer just the level of control they need. The simplest (4-channel, non-scanning) panel provides push-button channel selection and no confusing extraneous functions. The 1 2-/ 24- and 99-channel LED panel provides a large dual 7-segment channel number display and rotary selector with scanning. The two high-end 99-channel panels provide either 5-button control and alphanumeric LCD or 6 buttons + keypad with 2-line dot matrix LCD, and special display functions such as named channels and special operating symbols.

Precise Feature Matching
The three types of control boards allow end-users to match the precise set of features and option capabilities to their needs and budgets. Features like Multi Sequential Tones, DTMF and Digitally-Coded Squelch can be built in to the board or available as optional add ons with most panel/control unit combinations. Channel Grouping, Scanning, Priority and Search & Lock (voting) are provided in all but the simplest combinations, while Busy Channel and Busy Tone Lock-Out, Time-Out and Hang-Up Timers and CTCSS Tone Squelch are available in all control boards, dealer-programmable in EEPROM using the Yaesu CE-5 or CE-7 Programming Software, FRB-2 Service Kit and an ]BM/ PC compatible computer.

Reliable Wideband RF Decks for all Bands
Six RF Decks cover all common European Land Mobile frequencies between 68 and 88 MHz (VHF mid-band), 134 to 174 MHz (VHF high-band) and 400 to 512 MHz (UHF) with maximum channel spreads of 20, 26/28 and 30/40 MHz, respectively, Available with 12.5, 20 or 25-kHz channel spacing. Reliability is assured by a highly integrated surface mount circuit design and a die-cast aluminium chassis.

Programming Features The VX-1000 series is easily programmed by dealers equipped with a PC and the relevant software package, plus the FRB-2 Service Kit. Radios can be programmed quickly, even while installed within a vehicle. Channel frequencies, grouping and tone selections, as well as scanning features timers and other facilities are easily set up with the full screen editor. Selections can be stored on disk and quickly uploaded into each transceiver, an excellent feature for fleet operators.

Each transceiver is supplied with a mobile bracket and hand microphone. Options include the FP-21 and FP-700 Power Supplies for base station operation from the AC mains, SP-3 and SP-4 External Loudspeakers and Decoders (for Type 1 Control Unit).
